Data protection
Privacy policy
This policy explains what data PriceInfo may collect, why it is collected, and how it is used while operating the comparison platform.
Last updated: July 18, 20261. Who this policy is for
This policy applies to visitors, users, reviewers, merchants, merchant applicants, API users, and people who contact PriceInfo through forms or email.
2. Data we may collect
Depending on how you use PriceInfo, we may collect contact details, merchant application details, feed or API integration details, review submissions, contact form messages, technical logs, IP address, browser user agent, language and country signals, page URLs, cookie identifiers, and analytics data.
Product, offer, merchant, crawler, and catalog data may include public or merchant-provided business information such as store names, product URLs, prices, stock signals, delivery terms, product identifiers, images, and source metadata.
3. Why we use data
We use data to operate product comparison pages, process merchant applications, import product feeds, respond to contact messages, moderate reviews, prevent spam and abuse, improve matching quality, maintain security, measure service performance, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies and analytics
PriceInfo may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, support sessions, protect forms, understand traffic, measure page performance, and improve the platform. Analytics data is generally used in aggregate to understand how people find and use the service.
Analytics cookies are disabled by default. PriceInfo stores your choice in the essential first-party priceinfo_consent_v1 cookie for up to 180 days. Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
If advertising partners are enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies as a result of ad serving on PriceInfo. These technologies may help serve ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, limit how often an ad is shown, and, where permitted, personalize ads based on visits to PriceInfo and other websites.
You can learn more about Google advertising technologies. You can manage or turn off personalized Google ads in Google Ads Settings. You may also be able to opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising through AboutAds choices.
If Google Analytics or similar measurement tools are used, they may collect page views, referring pages, approximate device and browser information, and interaction signals to help us understand and improve the service. You can learn more about Google Analytics privacy or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Sharing data
We do not sell personal contact details. Data may be shared with service providers who help operate hosting, email delivery, analytics, security, storage, moderation, import processing, and support tools. These providers should process data only for the service purposes required by PriceInfo.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and security, to prevent abuse, or to handle legal claims.
6. Merchant and public-source data
Merchant and product information shown on PriceInfo may come from official feeds, APIs, public product pages, product databases, or other permitted sources. Store owners can contact PriceInfo to correct or replace public-source observations with official feed or API data.
7. Retention and security
We keep data for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including operation, quality control, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and auditability. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You may also be able to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
9. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent through the contact form. This keeps requests in the PriceInfo review queue and reduces public email scraping.
